Being a Catholic therapist can sometimes feel like a unique journey. The Canadian Catholic Therapist Network provides an opportunity for Catholic therapists across Canada to connect with one another, build supportive professional relationships, and grow together in both our vocation and our practice.
Through monthly virtual meetings, members can gather for fellowship, peer support, discussion of clinical and professional experiences, and the opportunity to learn from one another. These meetings provide a welcoming space to share ideas, discuss challenges, and celebrate the ways our faith and professional calling come together.
The network also provides a place for prayer and spiritual support. Members can share prayer requests for themselves, their clients, families, or other intentions, allowing us to accompany one another in prayer and remind each other that we do not walk this vocation alone.
We also encourage the sharing of resources, knowledge, and professional opportunities, including helpful clinical resources, Catholic resources, workshops, books, training opportunities, and other information that may benefit fellow therapists.
Our hope is to foster a community where Catholic therapists can connect, encourage, pray for, and learn from one another while supporting each other in providing compassionate, ethical, evidence-informed care that respects the dignity of the whole person.
Together we can build a stronger community of Catholic therapists serving individuals, families, and the wider Catholic community across Canada.
